Working with Functions – Part 2

The video below is a training demonstration on how to use the functions Count Numbers, CountA and Round. As I said in the tutorial Functions – Part 1 don’t just go through the motions of using the functions make sure you understand how they work so you can answer any questions you may get in your exam. The navigation screen in the tutorial will allow you to go to whichever function is causing difficulty.

If you are like the screen to be a little bit bigger then full screen may be easier to read. There is no sound with this demonstration, you will be reading the instructions on the screen.

Count Numbers v CountA

It is important that you understand that the Count Numbers function counts cells containing number values where as the CountA function counts cells containing either text, numbers, dates, formulas or error values. Both CountA and Count Numbers ignore blank or empty cells.
